Fast Swede wins exciting second race at the Hockenheimring in front of countryman Stefan Landmann and Nico Bastian.

With a renewed success for the team GIGAMOT they win the first MINI CHALLENGE race weekend of the season in 2009. In early summer temperatures at the Hockenheimring Daniel Haglöf (Borlänge / S) secured the second victory in the second race of the season and leads in the overall standings with 60 points sovereign. Daniel Haglöf wins first race of the MINI CHALLENGE the 2009 Exciting rain race at the Hockenheim Ring ends with Double victory for the team GIGAMOT.

Munich / Hockenheim. The first winner of the new MINI CHALLENGE Season is Daniel Haglöf (Borlänge / S, GIGAMOT). In an exciting race on the Hockenheimring he finally succeeded until the last Race laps to anchor at the top, as he’s Teammate Hendrik Vieth (Filsum, GIGAMOT) could happen. “I am very satisfied. On wet tarmac to go is always difficult. And – whether we like it believe it or not – rain conditions on Swedish lines are different than German, “said the Scandinavian winner. (more…)

The prelude to the sixth season of the popular club sport series will take place from 17 to 19 April in the framework of the circuit race “ADAC / MCS Prize of the City of Stuttgart” at the Hockenheimring. After 23,678 miles and 2.5 years of Vermont daily driving on tarmac rallye dust stewn and salted snowy roads, I was stunned at how much corrosion had actually started on certain areas of my 2006 MINI Cooper S R53. Time to take action and stop the corrosion. What can you do to a daily driver to help prevent this in New England? Waxoyl it!

Ok, so I had to get over the thought in my head that race cars don’t use undercoating (every MINI driver thinks his Cooper is a race car), as this coating adds some weight and is not part swapping friendly.
